Welcome to our grassroots effort! We are writing climate change back into history by chronicling the contributions of conservationists in the fight against climate change deniers. Our team is gathering biographies of conservationists from various sectors of society making contributions around the world making sure that the restoration of our climate is relevant.

Conservationist Narratives will be uploaded here. Click on the Conservationists heading and you will see a list of sectors of society where individual narratives about conservationists can be found.

This project is part of non-profit Our Green Challenge (OGC) in association with the non-profit Conservation Action Fund for Education (CAFE) in Santa Rosa, CA.

Climate change refers to any significant change in the measures of climate lasting for an extended period of time. Global warming refers to the increase in Earth’s average surface temperature due to rising levels of greenhouse gases, while climate change includes global warming and all factors that contribute to the changes. “You can’t understand climate change in pieces,” says climate scientist Gavin Schmidt.  We don’t need people “to believe in climate change,” we just need them to accept science. Factors that have the power to change global climate can be natural, like volcanic eruptions and changes in solar energy, or caused by humans, like the addition of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.
